APM in web application development normally stands for 'Apache Web Server, PHP and MySQL.'
This instruction is for Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (possibly other versions). It may work for other Linux distributions or may not. This document only has the essential information to install those software packages so for details please see other documents which have the details such as how to configure and use.

Install Apache Web Server
$ sudo apt-get install apache2
Install MySQL Database
$ sudo apt-get install mysql-server
Change Charset
-modify /etc/mysql/my.cnf
file (add default-character-set=utf8
)
user = mysql pid-file = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid socket = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock port = 3306 basedir = /usr datadir = /var/lib/mysql tmpdir = /tmp language = /usr/share/mysql/english default-character-set=utf8 skip-external-locking ... Install PHP module for Apache
$ sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5
Install PHPMyAdmin
$ apt-get install phpmyadmin
